and this is my 75 year old Mum playing with my playset!!
I freely admit my Playset has become an inpromptue dolls house! I have even saved cardboard that is Tardis coloured (from other bits of merchandise) to build up the tardis walls!and not only do I love it, but as you can see my mum loves it too! On her last visit I had to part with a remote controlle K9 (an old one) and two small remote controlled Daleks, which she now proudly shows off to he neighbours with glee!! Once when she came to stay at my house she went around taking photos of my collection...went back home, and showed her neighbours the photos! One of her neighbours asked Mum about my White Dalek (apparently one of the least collectable) and said WOW! Where did she get that, that must be worth a lot of money!...I got it from ebay years ago for about £10...LOL!...mY PRIZED who collectables are actually clothing which include a black satin jacket that belonged to John Nathan Turner, and a T shirt signed and dated by Jon Pertwee! Both are currently stored in tissue paper, but I would like them to be framed!
Ok...in other news...
I am back on my pole today *cringes* because I dident dance yesterday I feel like a right lazy slacker!
Last night while out on walkies I was chatting to Bristols Mum and I was telling her about it and she looked shocked and said "Does hubby know about this"..."yes!!!" I exclaimed "He bought it for me!!" I had giggled, and when I put the thing up (pole) its slap bang in the middle of my living room...I find it very odd that pole dancing still has this *stigma* attached to it. You know the one! Pole dancing = seedy bars, grubby little men ect! But I would have thought that would have been a thing of the past as the areobic qualities of pole dancing is second to none, and I have only been doing it for about a month now but already I am feeling better toned and my upper body strength is stronger! In short and even with all the moaning and growning, its been one of the best things that I have ever taken up as a hobbie! I would reccomend it to absolutly anyone as size, age, and sex are no barrier...my Pole Mentor is a lady from New York who I have been chatting to and getting tips from. She is a journalist, and looks a wee bit like J.K. Rowling, but she is also 48!!! and as a result of pole she has the body of a very fit 22 year old! She is amazing, but she has been pole dancing for 5 years, and she frequently sends me videos of herself doing new moves so that I can try them. She has become my teacher realy!!!
Right...dog walking...
...and he needs a jolly good brush too...and a bath!
Vix xx
