I am on my pole!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After lots of messing about yesterday (and the return journey to B&Q) my pole was up and ready for use early in the afternoon, but I dident go on it yesterday for the simple reason that I was cooking!
Every so often I make my own ready meals and freeze them so I will just spend one day a month and do nothing but cook (Chilli, Cauliflower cheese, cassrole ect) load it all into tinfoil cartons and freeze them, and as it happened yesterday my pole going up WAS on my cook and freeze day!! Darn and drat!!! and I was still at it this morning with a huge pot of chilli beef!! So I gritted my teeth and set to work finishing the chilli by 9am and leaving it in my slow cooker.......Now for my pole!!
*Silly grin*
Just after 9am I loaded my pole CD and warmed up to the first few bars of "CherryPie" by Warrent! CRIKEY!!! Pardon my languge but its knackering! and I began to realise I was using muscles that I never knew I had, and my old bones were cracking and moaning! "Get used to it" I was thinking! Now because this is my very first time on the pole I quickly realised that my arms are far too week to hold my body weight yet so the several spins I tried, my feet barely left the floor and I was coming crashing, rather ungracefully onto my living room carpet, in a heap! But I guess that in time, and as my arms get used to baring me on a swing, I hope I will get better! OMG!! I will ache in the morning....But its huge fun! Its amazing! Several times I realised I was putting almost all my body weight on one arm, without even realiseing I was doing it! So without any wonder the sweat was pooring off me in a matter of minuits!! Anyway after 15 mins I decided that was enough for my first session, and my sadly worn body agreed with me, so I setted down to right this...I will do another 15 mins after I have taken Sirius for his walk later on, and then another 15 mins early this evening, and so I will continue this way and slowing build up my stamina!
The pole itself feels surprigingly safe, and does not wobble which I was glad for as this gave me more confidence while I was dancing...I was a bit nervous at first because while watching the DVD that come with it, the lady demonstraiting the pole, her pole wobbles like heck, and I was thinking "if my pole does that, I wont have the confidence to do spins!" But I am happy to say this is not the case, and so far it feels very good indeed, very sturdy and safe!
Ok! I had better give Sirius his walk before he bites my leg off!
And have another go at lunchtime............methinks I will have a very bruised bottom in the morning! LOL!!
